The idea for the Institute of Psychotherapy for Mental Health Crisis (IPMHC) emerged from a deep sense of connection with individuals, families, networks, and health professionals whom we supported during periods of mental health crises.
In 2023, we sat with groups of scholars, community leaders, and representatives from mental health services and organisations to reflect on the impact of mental health crises and explore how timely, seamless, and evidence-based interventions could transform care provision in the 21st century.
From these conversations, the vision IPMHC was born; a network of mental health professionals and organisational partners committed to developing systemic, creative responses to the complex challenges of implementing effective care during mental health crises.
We are a community of professionals with a wealth of experience in mental health crisis. We support individuals and families (networks) to recover and find meaning during the crisis and beyond.
